I just deleted some one-sided comments ("Long reign the horsefair"), that were violating Wikipedia's striving for being neutral. Still, this whole article fails to explain why the Irish government would want to shut down a historic horsefair. Were there problems about the health or safety of the horses? Did animal rights protesters from big cities get involved? If so, what arguments did they have? Why could protester's arguments be legitimate? What sort of arguments plead in favour of the supporters of the horse-fair? Did the supporters of the horsefair try to register their event as cultaral heritage on the Unesco-list of endangered traditions? The article reads as promotion for the horsefair and protest against the Irish government and/or people from big cities like Dublin. This article fails to meet the criteria of an entry in an encyclopedia! Please help to improove.
